The i-group: a brief history
What is today called the i-Group originated in the summer of 2004 with the creation of the original i-directory; i-Dorset. Complete with a total of 20 business listings.
Since then and three re-designs later, we provide information for almost 1 million local companies group wide and the concept has been rolled out to over 44 counties thanks to our extremely scalable i-platform, allowing the i-Group of directories to be controlled with maximum efficiency.
Our goal has always been to connect customers to businesses by providing users with a dedicated county business directory whilst keeping our information clean, user friendly and providing value for our advertisers by maintaining our own visibility. The future development of the i-Group lies with a continued commitment to quality with our directory listings in addition to successfully branching out into other verticals designed to better integrate our data and provide even greater value for our users, such as providing local cinema listings, weather forecasts and news.
